Dear All,
We would like to extend a huge thank you to all of you attending and contributing to our meeting in Helsinki with your presence, lectures, presentations and discussions!
We are so delighted to have shared these days with you and we hope you have brought back, inspiration, new knowledge, new friends and contacts to you practice at home. We certainly have done so ourselves!
A special thank you goes of course to Dr Päivi Tommola who as president of our society made this meeting come true in such a successful manner!
We would also like to thank all the lecturers and chairs of the sessions for so generously sharing their knowledge with us and also our Majorie Ridley-speaker Dr Amanda Selk who joined us from Canada to give a very inspiring talk on the importance of us medical professionals engaging with the general population on the Internet and social forums to spread accurate information and counteract all the misconceptions being spread.
The Executive Council of the ECSVD is very happy to welcome Dr Linn Woelber from Hamburg, Germany, as our new president! She is now taking over the leadership of our society for the coming two years. We are already looking forward to the next meeting which will be held in Hamburg in 2025.
We also welcome Dr Manon van Seters as our new secretary and Dr Fiona Lewis as our president elect for 2025-2027. Dr Sophie Berville is taking up the post as co-treasurer and Dr Jasmine Abdulcadir and Dr Hans Verstraelen are new councillors.
