It is with great sadness that we heard of the death of Mario Sideri who was killed in a tragic motor cycling accident on 28th June 2014. He was a kind and gentle man who made a great contribution to the field of Vulval Disease. Mario was a past president of the International Society for the Study of Vulval Disease and a loyal supporter of the ESCVD. He was a personal friend to many of us and will be greatly missed.
It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing away of our colleague and friend Monique Pelisse on 15th February 2014, aged 71. Her work and expertise in the field of vulvar pathology was widely recognised and she succeeded in transmitting her passion to several generations of dermatologists and gynaecologists in France and abroad. Her patients appreciated her kindness, her dedication, and her tact. Her friends will remember not only her professional competence but also her intelligence, her modesty, her faithfulness and her elegance.
A tribute will be paid to her during our next meeting in Birmingham, September 11th-13th 2014.
